'Tango Territory' oil painting on canvas by Karen Kennedy Chatham. reference photography by Helmut Hussman. Tango is a beautiful and majestic wild stallion from the Salt river wild Mustang herds in Arizona. He has been a favorite subject of photography by Helmut Hussman who kayaks almost daily on the Salt River. Tango was last seen tangled up in barbed wire and running into the Native American territory where he could not be helped. So this painting is a tribute to this stallion who represents the many of God's wild horses who live in true freedom, untamed and beautiful. May these herds be preserved and protected.
Southwestern Artist, Karen Kennedy Chatham, is a realistic and abstract painter of wild mustang horses, Texas longhorn cattle, western cowboys, Native American culture, landscapes and radiant florals. Her mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. Born a native Texan, Karen lives in Paradise, Tx has a deep love for western culture and her favorite subjects are the horses. Karen has recently been exploring new abstract/semi abstract techniques that are radiant in color, rich in Spirit, and full of positive emotion. *Student of James R.
